Something I learned and Rebekah's "PUT THE FORK DOWN!"

View this email in your browser
I am an optimist and believe that everyone is blessed with a unique series of qualities and special abilities. Some qualities are good and some are bad. Trying to distinguish between the two can be difficult or almost impossible when you are your own subject. It's always so easy for us to tell people what they should do, or let go of, or my favorite.... "do you know what you would really be good at?" So easy to see the potential in others. Damn near impossible to see it in me or yourself. We can be brutal to ourselves. We say things to ourselves that we would never dare say to another person. Rebekah always says to me, "Give yourself a little grace." After 2,731 times of her saying it, I finally turned my head and asked her, "What did you say?"

I learned that I need to give myself a few more pats on the back, a few more self hugs, and accept a compliment.

Real Estate is a very personal relationship between clients and agents. We each have to learn a lot about each other during one of the most stressful periods in people lives: buying, selling, or moving.

If you are giving your best, then give yourself some space for grace. When a client or anybody is pleased with your efforts, let them compliment you. People's sincerity is priceless.

You're doing a great job. Sincerely.

Thanks smarty pants.

WHAT THE FORK...

PUT THE FORK DOWN

Hey guys, let's talk about finding the consistency in our crazy busy lives! We'll its clear in all the craziness we have to find time to manage our sleep, family, work, career, errands, diet & nutrition, exercise, etc... right!

It's a bit overwhelming and at times it provides us with great excuses to grab fast food on the go, or skip breakfast, be too tired to workout, over eat when stressed, or the I'll start exercising or eating better tomorrow excuse.

Why can't it be as simple as putting the f*king fork down? I'll tell you a few reasons why.

Comfort
Routine
Stress
Addictive Behaviors
Laziness

All those things are very mind over the matter situations. So no it's not as simple as putting the fork down unless you are ready to acknowledge...maybe there's a few changes that need to be made in your daily routine with diet, nutrition, and exercise.

My last blog I wrote about Breakfast first in the morning or exercising then eating your breakfast. Check it out for tips and reasons why breakfast is a good idea before you start your day! onhttp://rebekahvannatta.blogspot.com/

If you just try to eat a bigger meal in the morning, medium size for lunch, by dinner a nice small or light meal will fill you up until the next day where boom...breakfast happens!

The mental process starts with you making that choice. When you've had enough of saying I want to start eating better, or I want to start working out again you'll make that decision. If you need a little help, I have an easy 5 chapter read on amazon click the link to check it out http://bit.ly/5StepsToMotivation. I will say it's easier to make the change once you've accepted where you are and where you want to be.

So throughout this week  I challenge you to simply think put the fork down and see what happens. Maybe it may help, maybe it won't. But at the end of the day if your ready for change.... you will make effort to find the changes that need to happen.

And remember your never alone in this, feel free to reach out anytime, I have tons of recipes on my E-book as well as on my blog. So use the tools you have around you to help you in putting that darn fork down!!

Please feel free to share this with someone you know that could use a little motivation :) Have a great one!

Realtor's work on commission!! and Eat Your Breakfast Recipe from Rebekah!

REALTOR'S WORK ON COMMISSION!!

Just a heads up...

I got this question a few times after my last email: "How much does it cost to hire a Realtor?" A legitimate question.

The answer is NOTHING. Realtors work on a commission that is usually paid by the SELLER, traditionally 6% to be split among the agents. If you are on the BUYERS side it's free although in some case, the buyer can agree to split the cost with the seller BEWARE! There should not be any up front fee for a Realtors service. If someone tries to charge you, call me :) 310-597-2089

Below is a link to a short video that explains this case a little bit better.

9 Reason's Why You Should Eat Breakfast
Everyday

  1. Loose Weight

  2. Get an Energy Boost

  3. Reduce the Risk of Type 2 Diabetes
  4. Prevent Heart Disease

  5. Enhance Your Memory

  6. Live To 100!

  7. Fight Cravings

  8. Get Your Daily Intake of Nutrients

  9. Prevent Cold & Flu

I love breakfast, it's my favorite meal of the day. I could never go throughout the day without first having my breakfast! It helps me  early in the day to intake the fibers, proteins, carbs, and fats in my diet to help me feel energized throughout the day. I'm less hungry and am more thoughtful about what I eat, when it comes to lunch or dinner. I always start my day off with either

1.) Oatmeal Bowl
1/3 cup oats
2 tbsp PB2
3 large egg whites

OR

2.) PB & Chocolate Smoothie
1 scoop vegan chocolate protein powder
1 frozen banana
dash cinnamon
1 large tbsp peanut butter
3 ice cubes
1-2 cups almond or cashew milk

It helps me control my cravings throughout the day and allows my body to start the process of breaking down the foods for the day. I also know that whatever calories I eat for breakfast will be burned easily before lunch. I encourage you to try to incorporate breakfast into your diet everyday and see how different you feel. I have 3 breakfast recipes on my e-book http://bit.ly/5StepsToMotivation the book is only $4.99 and there are plenty of other recipes for lunch, dinner, healthy snack & desserts as well. I encourage you to start making breakfast part of your morning routine. If you need a little help and feel stuck my e-book http://bit.ly/5StepsToMotivation can really be a great tool to get you headed in the right direction!

Let me know if this helped you out. If you found it useful send it to someone you know that could use some healthier morning routines...remember sharing is caring!

Take care!

For the Week Ending July 8, 2016

Please enjoy this quick update on what happened this week in the housing and financial markets.

U.S. stock markets have fully recovered after huge losses following Britain's vote to leave the EU. Markets don't believe a Fed rate increase is possible this year.

Fed minutes from last month's FOMC meeting show the Fed was concerned about a possible Brexit. Global turmoil means the Fed is unlikely to raise rates.

A strong labor market is supporting the housing market. This week there was an increase in private payrolls and decrease in unemployment benefit claims.

Mortgage applications were up 14% on falling rates last week. While many were for refinances, purchase applications were 23% higher year-over-year.

Purchase applications could have been higher, according to experts. Lack of inventory plagues many markets, but has helped drive home prices back up.

Inventory concerns are not only for the purchase market. Rental demand has increased across all age groups and income types, creating a supply imbalance.

Rate movements and volatility are based on published, aggregate national averages and measured from the previous to the most recent midweek daily reporting period. These rate trends can differ from our own and are subject to change at any time.

American Bred the movie and Real Estate News

Southland housing market favors sellers
On March 28th, the Los Angeles Times reported that home prices in Los Angeles continue to climb and inventory is becoming scarce! Job growth and LOW INTEREST RATES (did you open the last few newsletters i sent out?) are driving prices up and UP! The average days on market is 32 and more than 30% of the homes sold are going ABOVE asking price.

It's a great time to be on both ends of the market. With FHA loans and the new Fannie Mae 3% LTV, buyers with low down payments are being positioned to afford!

3.5% DOWN PAYMENT! What is an FHA loan?

An FHA loan is a mortgage insured by the Federal Housing Administration. Borrowers with FHA loans pay for mortgage insurance, which protects the lender from a loss if the borrower defaults on the loan.
FHA loans offer more attractive interest rates and with less stringent and more flexible qualification requirements. The FHA is an agency within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. As low as 3.5%, as opposed to the conventional 20% down. That's a big difference.

In this link below, Ron Atniel (www.LenderRon.com), briefly discuss what an FHA loan entails and how it can benefit you!
